Industrial Relations code – This will cover the existing standing order, Disputes and Trade unions act.
Key Changes :
- The definition of worker will be based on the basis of wages being drawn by him and Worker / Employees with salary up to Rs 18,000 will fall under the category of worker.
- Employee can an Industrial raise dispute with the employer within the time limit of only 2 years instead of 3 years.
- Trade union have to give notice of 14 days before going on strike.
Social Security Benefits – This will cover the Major labour laws currently being followed in like PF, ESIC, Maternity Benefit , Employeee compensation act, payment of gratuity etc.
Health and Safety Benefits – This is currently taken care with the help of Factories Act, Shop and Establishment act, Contract labour act, inter state migrant worker act.
